Calder QC
Fast, focused quality control for audio files.
Calder checks your filenames, audio format standards, and loop accuracy in one pass. Set up a profile with your naming conventions, format specs, and BPM tolerances, then scan any folder to catch issues before delivery.
What It Does:
Filename Editing: Calder breaks filenames into parts based on separators, so you can select, move, swap, merge, and batch-rename by position. Also includes find-and-replace, generate mode, metadata tools, and more.
Audio Standards: Check sample rate, bit depth, loudness, and format compliance against your specs
Loop QC Verify BPM tags and sample-length accuracy for loops
Profiles: Save your naming rules, audio specs, and QC settings as reusable, shareable presets
What I'm Looking For:
Calder is in early beta and I'd love your help testing it. The most valuable feedback is a screen recording of your first time using the app—just open it, try things out, and talk through what you're thinking. What makes sense? What's confusing? What breaks?
No prep needed. Raw first impressions are exactly what I'm looking for.
Ways to share feedback:
1. Screen recording (most helpful) — Upload to Google Drive or Dropbox and send me the link
2. Feedback form — Google Forms
3. Email — benbromley@gmail.com
Release Notes:
This version is Mac only (Ventura or later).
There are demo audio files in the build, so feel free to play around with those, or load a folder of your own audio.
